At a two-day seminar, 90 percent of those registered attended the seminar on the first day. What percent of those registered did not attend the seminar on either day?

(1) A total of 1,000 people registered for the two-day seminar.

(2) Of those registered, 80 percent attended the seminar on the second day.

請問這一題為什麼答案是E呢?

從題目看來90%有attend the first day, 所以就是10%沒有attend the first day. 從2)看來80%沒有attend second day, 所以20%有attend. 那這樣的話不是就知道either day 有多少percent who attended? 麻煩幫我看一下謝謝!!

題目是要問在這兩天裡不是全勤人數的百分比
但這種題目不是直接把百分比拿來計算的，需要再知道相關的實際人數，再乘上百分比來計算才行。

舉個例說：
100*80%=80
100*90%=90 ==>則兩個的平均%計算是 (80+90)/(100+100)=85%
剛好會等於(80%+90%)/2=85%
但這是因為那個基數100是一樣的

若是不一樣的情形：
100*80%=80
150*90%=135 ==>則兩個平均%=(80+135)/(100+150)=86%
這樣就不等於直接拿百分比來計算的結果了
