GMATPrep PP 01-10

看到有人發問新版PP的問題，所以就跟著題號標示我的問題. =)

DS : The point A,B,C and D are on the number line, not necessarily in that order. In the distance between A and B is 18 and the distance between C and D is 8. What is the distance between B and D ?

1) The distance between C and A is the same as the distance between C and B.

2) A is to the left of D on the line.

Answer is : E, BUT mine is C

我的思路如下：

1) 可得兩種可能─ B, C, A or A, C, B 不充份

2)A在D的左邊，不充份

1)+2)→ 因為 AC=BC=9, 所以C一定在AB之間，又A一定在D的左邊，且得知CD為8，所以僅有一種可能：A, D, C, B =>B與D的距離就是9(DC)+8(CB)


不知那個地方思考錯了.. 想了許久說..

這邊有typo...8跟9的數字打反了...

前半段講單純1)或2)都沒錯所以不重複
1)+2)的部分
由於CD=8可是CA=9,CB=9可見還是有兩種可能:
ADCB或者是ACDB喔
因此BD有可能是第一種ADCB的CD(8)+CB(9)=17
或者是第二種ACDB的BC(9)-DC(8)=1
