A certain circular area has its center at point p, and has radius 4. Points x+y lie in the same plane as the circular area. Is point Y outside the cricle?

a. distance between P and X is 4.5
b. distance between X and Y is 9

是選 C ，可是是亂猜選到的，當時猜想這個圓心不知座落在那裡，就當做圓心是(0,0)好了，那條件(1) X=4.5 一定超過半徑 4，但不知 Y=? 所以要加上條件(2) 可以推出 Y 就是4.5，也超過了半徑, 所以 Y就一定在圓外...

可是我ㄉ迷惑來了，題目沒給圓中心 P，這個圓也可以落在任何一個象限，假設我圓中心是(8,8)的話就在第一象限，那(1)+(2)之後，點Y就是會在圓內＝＞不符何答案 C, 這樣就要選 E 了

請問我那邊的想法是錯的，請指正我，謝謝...

為什麼 y會在圓內 ? 不是很懂你的疑惑

仔細想了一下又看了自已的解釋，我把條件的 a & b 的 distance 誤解成 points ... ，[ 要以距離為主] ，所以不管圓中心在那裡，P 圓中心的距離與X 固定為 4.5.....那加上(2)的條件之下，y 就是會一直在圓的外圍.........

真是見笑了...
