但是 (C)將tell變為tells
為什麼不對呢?
that所指稱的是複數的substaces嗎?
未闔不是指one of the substances?

但一般來講
這種題目都是修飾that 前面的那個字

無論你要說的是one of the substances 或 substances
他們的特性都是一樣的

(C)最大的錯誤是在 both...or..., 應該改為both...and!
至於 one of the substances, tell的部份,
到底指的是 "one" or "substances"
我的經驗是, "不一定!!"
A of B, 大多數的情形是指A
但是, 有時候是指(B)
因此我的建議是, 再多看看其他可能的考點來評斷.

For example:
OG10 #162: (A) the parents of children under four years of age to be restrained in a child safety seat. 解答中就說(A)指的是parents!

OG10 #164: (B) development of the park, which could be open....which指的則是park!
