1. thus是adv,不是conj,故用分詞making,且thus合理的和because表因果關係,後面表結果
2. it是虛字,(c)的them不能選是因為句意應該為making the fire ant easier to spread,如果用them,就變成making enemies/chemicals easier spread,就改變句意了

我想講D跟C的差別，紫本很前面有提到類似的題目，
就是因為裡面有很多的複數名詞
講THEM的話，會使讀者混淆到底THEM是講什麼？(natural enemies;chemicals;還是ants)
所以用the ant使受詞不混淆
