我之前作過類似的題目,OG的說明是說逗點後面的which指的是離他最近的名詞。那這樣不是應該指的是Jerusalem嗎?

可是文意不是指的是destruction of Jerusalem這件事情嗎?
是我哪裡搞混了嗎?

1. Yes,
原句是 Janpan's (culture) is a culture, 因為主詞埔語已經有culture,
所以可以省略,比較concise.

2. a system of forms, etiquette, and images that makes the ...
這個that帶入的adj cl用單數動詞,所以明白的指出that修飾的是前面的
a system,不會有ambiguity的問題.

另外我覺得這應該是修飾語位置移到句尾,符合老美愛用的由輕到重原則.
原句應是: a system that makes the ever-present congestion tolerable of forms, etiquette and images.

而這個which指的不是B而是A,
通常要由句意來判斷, 一般來說是指B就是了!
