我知道這題為何為B，但是想請教一下were it to do so的用法，是用假設語氣嗎？但是我找尋上課講義都看不到該用法。我知道直說法+otherwise+假設法，是否otherwise=were it to do so??謝謝

在這一題裡的were it to do so是假設用法,
原句是if it were to do so, 是與未來事實相反的假設用法

otherwise也是假設用法,不過不等於were it to do so
otherwise的用法是:
直說法(合乎事實)+otherwise+假設法(可能合事實,也可能不合)
EX:He stidies very hard; otherwise, he would not get a high score.
在此,
He stidies very hard是直說法,符合現在事實
後半句的he would not get a high score.是與現在事實相反的假設法
而otherwise可以看成if he did not study hard
