我的看法是......the nation spent......

所以amount要用過去式amounted

我不懂的地方在於比較的東西.....

在這邊比較物不是cost嗎.....那是複數的名詞為什麼要用less?是因為amount的動詞用法的關係嗎?

less沒有動詞狀態 ,單然就作N解嚕

至於lower 簡單的說 是 因為有 到底是比較低 還是 ""比較少""的歧異

況且 lower當形容詞解 , 救犯了前面提到的錯誤 to(preposition) +ADJ

進一步討論的話 , 雖然說 to lower / to 當不定

但是句意就大不同了 ^^

我已經自己喝了....
抱歉,之前沒把全部的解釋都貼上去,造成有點小誤會
AB的amouts確實不對,OG解釋也說了even thoug後頭有個時間副詞last year
所以當然是amounted不是amouts
我在cobild字典中,查到less可以當代名詞
如魚講的OG在解釋的最後一句話也指出,to(prep.)+lower(adj.)是不對地,理當to(prep.)+less(pronoun.)
請指教,too

問一問題,如果less當noun,那than前就沒有比較級的adj了,這樣可以嗎!?我的認為-er...than必須連用,是這樣嗎?!?請幫我解答一下吧!!thx
