查了一下字典amount:a number of things...many people consider this use to be incorrect...所以看來是可以接複數N.可是很多人覺得這樣用是錯的....我想問的是問什麼這裡不用a/the number of suspected carcinogens而寫成the amounts of suspected carcinogens...thx

尚有如下用法~

這段話是說 be able to 只能形容人 不能形容物嗎
但是其他選項able to 也是拿來形容humans阿

我原本是用 could > be able to 來選
但是不太清楚為什麼要這項規則

這個規則我不清楚。
不過我知道could有猜測、不確定的意味，屬於作者寫作時的態度，我們不能輕易改變作者的態度。
are able to就等於can了，是屬於肯定的態度。
