答案(C)不選,用and連接兩個句子，前面的名詞tempertures是多數用are，and後面the ice cap 連接的be動詞要單數的is，不可以提公因式，所以(C)不選

答案(B)對，were it to do，If it were to do so省略 if 倒裝，對。
