3."the more developed industry"我仔細想了很久,覺得"more"的修是可能會不清楚,到底是修飾"developed"還是"industry", 修飾"developed"的話就變成"比較先進或發展較好的工業",修飾"industry"的話就是"比較多的先進或發展較好的工業";再者,OG當中似乎鮮少發現使用"more+Adj+N"的用法,OG當中"more+Adj"比較多是考"more than"的比較

4."compete"確實為不及物動詞,而且在Longman上面查詢"compete"還發現了"competing companies"的解釋:"companies that are trying to be more successful than each other",這樣的解釋放在這個句子更恰當不過了;再者,如果以be V前後要平衡的話,先看"may be"後面是"parners the next",(B)的competing companies(adj+N視為N)也會比(A)的companies that compete one day(N+關代子句,而且是個不完全的子句)來的漂亮

當初沒有選B係因為覺得competing companies怪怪的
但是如果實際上有該用法
則A的答案真的平行的粉漂亮

有沒有人可以幫忙問一下老師

句意是compared with the fact that的意思，而不是despite the fact that。所以although錯
B用they指代the lines會讓人認為兩者為同一物,錯
competing companies one day may be partner the next　這裡扭曲句意且不合文法
句意是今天競爭的公司，明日可能成夥伴，但B好像是說競爭的公司有一天可能變成夥伴, the next (day)時間副詞又再重覆修飾may be

我認為本題的 (a)的defined in the more established industries不會產生歧義ㄛ

more會產生歧義的型式應該是V+more(adv.)+adj.
ex:make more fuel-efficient small cars
V adv adj
如此造成副詞more不知道是修飾動詞還是形容詞
本題more前面是in the,如此一來只能修飾到最近的established啦

(B) 有兩個錯誤選項的特徵:
1. industries that are... established = established industries (i.e. 不簡潔)
2. in the Internet industry 副詞放尾巴會造成修飾歧異.

這兩個問題在 (A) 都解決了.

competing companies在這題的句意應該是當互相競爭的公司之意
但我剛查字典LONGMAN時發現competing當adj意思時, 有兩個意思一個當擇其一之意另一個為具備競爭力之意
我想在這邊應該用competitive會比較準確,而且將原句動詞改形容詞似乎也不為AT所愛

我挺(B)啦!

1、(A)選項的the more established companies得確有問題，不知more修飾誰。
而(B)囉嗦的用companies that...在我看來是要避掉(A)的問題。

2、在來，compete的用法我覺得都沒錯，只是(B)後面的 N1 one day maybe N2 the next. 感覺很....文藝氣息...就是很"水"啦!!

(希望有一天可以用"美感"來做SC...)

1. the more established companies其中的more是adv.只修飾established不會ambi.
2. one day不可修飾N.

hccill \$m[1]:小弟我覺得答案還是A好耶~
各位大大可能忽略了最重要的一點,
選項B是用Although表讓步,而非表對照(whereas)..
實在是有改變句意的嫌疑耶~
再加上不簡潔(more established industries較佳)
以及冠詞問題(line不能指定,因為兩種line是不相同的)
即使真有competing companies這種用法,
還是A比較好吧~

我覺得答案還是B耶, 因為A中the more developed industry, 不符合比較級不加the, 只有最高級加the的文法.

in the more developed industries中的the跟比較級無關
主要是指in the (某種) industries, 就跟後面 in the Internet idustries一樣~

覺得會選B的人大多都說是平衡對稱很重要,
但其實在後面as的句子中好像不是需要百分百對稱的,
"may be"這裡應該是be動詞前後平衡, 意思一樣就OK(companies可以是partners)
而且不管如何句意應該是大於對稱的
whereas變成Although時在讓人有點選不下去....
