不好意思，想請問一下：
為什麼be動詞可以省略呢？
總覺得findings consistent with...這句怪怪的，可是又不知道它到底是省略什麼，以及怎麼來的？

如果照你說的be動詞加上去的話,就成了一個run-on sentence了;
至於你覺得findings consistent with...怪怪的,好像省略什麼,我想應該是finding (which are)consistant with...得which are省略了..

如果照你的方法還原的話, findings which are consistant whith...將會成為一個名詞片語. 可是這個名詞片語就算是當作同位語也沒有可以修飾的名詞。concentrations, deposits, centimeters, Baltic Sea都不等於findings.

正確的文法結構是獨立主格 S1+V1, and S2+V2 = S1+V1, S2+V2ing
, and findings are consistant with.... 改成, findings (being省略) consistant with.....


好像是這樣吧。
