很多問題
1.請問是否有後面子句(無論是主要或是附屬)的代名詞,優先指代前句句中的 主詞?像本題A選中OG解釋it " seems to refer to" baby(前句的 主詞), 但就造成邏輯上的 錯誤 ,但是否如果別的 選項有更棉顯錯的 時候,這個選項"相對"來說比較好,畢竟它只有指代不清的 缺失而已?
2.D選中 A baby emerges from the darkness of the womb with .....想請問with到底是修飾哪個 名詞 S V O with....有規定修飾哪個 部分嗎
3.A.C跟Ｅ選項中, As開頭的意思是否為"當",強調那個 瞬間,與原意以所差別,故也可做為一個 刪去的 判別點?
問題很多,希望各位大哥可以開示一下.

1. 這個 it 有太多可能性 (baby, womb, sense, vision) ,很難對.
2. with... 介係詞片語當副詞,在句尾修飾全句,主詞是 baby.
3. 選項裡 as, when 作"當",有條件的意謂,少選(幾乎是必錯的啦).

這是 GMAT 特喜歡的考題.在句尾的副詞要特別小心,經常有修飾歧異:可以修飾最近的字,也可以修飾全句(句子主角當然是主詞囉).這類題多留意總結就不難歸納,但很容易疏忽!!

那時候你說with放句尾可能會修飾歧義,那本題的正確答案(D)A baby emerges from the darkness of the womb with a rudimentary sense of vision that would be rated about 20/500; an adult with such vision would be deemed legally blind. 同樣也是放在句尾,我想問位啥這題你說是修飾全句,難道它沒有修飾歧義的 問題嗎 ??還是這兩個 with的 結構不同?? 先謝了

這要回到我們國中最開始學副詞修飾的時候,幾乎所有副詞掛在句尾都是修飾全句,這是副詞修飾最基本的用法.後來就學到副詞修飾最靠近的字,後來就越來越多可能,就發現越來越亂啦!因此句意為上,雖然句意為上,修飾還是有原則的.

(D)A baby emerges from the darkness of the womb {with a rudimentary sense of vision...}
這句是基本用法: "with... 介係詞片語當副詞,在句尾修飾全句,主詞是 baby."放句尾的原因是避免句子頭重腳輕.

OG212 (E) 的 with... 最有可能修飾 policy, 如果選項裡的 with 都放同一個位置,就不是考點,如果 with... 位置變了,就必須選一個最好的位置. GMAT 考細微的差異,找最佳選項.
