請問一下

照這個原文看來的話，原文是有連接詞and的

但分詞構句照前幾位版友說來又是省略連接詞才會以分詞構句

這樣看來，現在有連接詞的情況下，應該要把動詞放回去才對，不然so..and so...兩個子句不平衡

有版友能幫忙解釋一下嗎？因為NY Times應該不會錯才對.....>.<

翻了一下上課筆記
主詞不同一樣可以以分辭代替連接詞

The party was over and each person went home with a bag of candy.
可改成
The party was over, each person going home with a bag of candy.

S1 + V1 and S2 + V2---->S1 + V1, S2+ Ving/Ved

不過google查到New York Tims原文中and沒取消的問題
想不出個解釋

再加上whoops的省略結構(省略and, was變being)，就變成：

如果being省略，就變成答案(E)，當然了，前提是being可以省略。

不過演化到(E)時，由於讀不到"and"，感覺兩件事so...導致一個結果that...的結構，已經被破壞了，讀起來很像是一件事so...導致一個結果that...

anyway，本題學到不少東西，感恩啦 :smile

另外請問關於be動詞的省略,

當兩個主詞為一單數一多數時, be動詞還可以省略嗎??

如果不行的話,E選項省略be動詞的原因是being摟??

be動詞數量不一致應該還是可以省略。
倒裝是為了平行前面那一句。
至於倒裝的理由加強語氣吧!
