(A) 不清楚是 一個company同時leading gas&electric
還是兩個公司 一個是leading gas 另一個是electric

所以選 E

我也是在A、E選一個，而我是看merge這個動詞來判斷的
因為我覺得通常要能夠merge是需要兩個公司，而A的寫法只有一種公司......


請指教

不過PRONOUN大多是代本句主詞，用主動詞一致原則後刪掉BCD
在A: with states 跟E: as states之間 很明顯的 their在E的裡面就是代表states

我的想法與C大有些出入

E中的their可能是代前面的the leading gas company and leading electric company

A選項的with states opening~，可以參考OG#102(B)-->the prepositional phrase containing this participle (with... it) is unidiomatic

我覺得這題與OG102的情況不一樣，OG102是前面有一個介系詞片語(Except for)和with…it連用才造成unidiomatic
但本題是Unlike A.,which…,B….with….,這題的Unlike與with沒有連用啊???應該是要看這個地方B….with…….吧??

而就句意上來說這裡的their應該是指states沒錯吧..…以下我是這樣理解這A\E的意思:.
A－As states opentheir utility markets to competition the merger is intended to create a huge network for marketing the utilities in question.
當國家開放他們公共事業市場競爭時，這兩家公司的合併者for marketing the utilities意圖建立一個巨大的網絡。

隨著政府開放他們公共事業市場競爭，這兩家公司的合併者for the utilities意圖建立一個巨大的行銷網絡。


至於their是否指the leading gas company and leading electric company？？句意上我是不知該怎麼理解…
以上兩個句意又讓我相當的苦惱…真煩!!!因為感覺都還滿順的……..記得以前大牛都說句意為上,但每次我理解時都讓我陷入苦腦中…..!!!!!

請大牛指正我是不是有誤....

我也覺得 (E) 裡的 their 應該是指 states.
