我覺得For farmers who....是因為由輕到重所以拉到前面來
原句應該是Provided with high-energy feed, and milked regularly, Holstein cows will produce an average of 2,275 gallons of milk each per year for the farmer who takes care to keep them cool.
所以這一句的主詞是cows
如果這樣看的話, 同一句話裡面的代名詞只能代一樣的東西, 由於for farmer子句中的them指cows
所以A中的them就是指cows ,而providing是 cows provid改成主動的分詞片語變成的
所以A會變成 cows providing them(cows) with high-energy feed ,and milking them(cows)....
造成句意不合理 牛自己提供自己食物 牛自己擠自己的牛奶 （夭壽喔～～）
不過E的and前面為什麼要打逗點還是很奇怪
請大家指教～

原來主詞是Holstein cow, 一直以為farmer是主詞才會選有them的答案呀,我。
這是我的理解, for farmer who takes care...是補充說明
所以是if provided,..., milked

這題做的時候卡在找不到 and 跟誰平衡,兔大解的好,原來是跟 cool 平衡: i.e. keep them {cool, provided..., and milked...} 三個平衡 and 前面要加逗點.
另外卡在 選項裡的分詞到底要修飾誰,覺得跟前面一定有關聯.看到主詞是牛,勉強當分詞構句來做: (D) (E) 選一個.覺得不需要未來式,後來發現非劃線部份有個each (每隻牛), (D) 只有一隻牛,何必 each?
這題的結構: For farmers ..., Holstein cows will produce ... 原來是考平衡,不是分詞構句.
