more than likely 看成一個副詞
i.e. more than 副詞比較級修飾 likely 副詞

mm～我有看到前面這樣說
more than likely 是一個collocation
但就是查不到, 請問哪裡可以看到這個
我有見過 more than just; no more than; more and more; more or less...

還有,more than 副詞比較級修飾 likely 副詞? more than 有醬的用法嗎?字典查沒有喔(我用Cobuild)

more 表示比較,可以修飾形容詞,也可以修飾副詞.
more than likely 有意義的文法結構為 more likely, 再簡化(去掉比較修飾)其實就是一個副詞 likely.
嚴格說起來,從細部分析, than 是連接詞,省略相同主詞 (writing) 和 be 動詞,所以完整的句子是 ..., but {more than (writing is) likely} (writing) began... 但這樣把句子結構複雜化了,有時反而看不清楚句意的骨幹.
