BUT….這個GWD的解答為何沒更正為Ｅ？

我在想這題Ｃ＼Ｅ選的差別在，一個平鋪直敘；一個使用倒裝表強調
而Ｅ選會勝出，我在猜作者故意使用倒裝使the rate at which trees grow
可以跟as seen….their trunks在一起做出準確修飾，ＥＴＳ不就偏愛修飾語離修飾的對象愈近愈好！
相對於Ｃ選as seen….their trunks離要修飾的對象太遠所以輸在這裡吧？
