請問各位大大,

這提GWD-6-Q39的選項(D)我是否可以解釋成:

1.N,ving的形式容易造成ambiguity,因為可能是非限制之形容詞子句, 也可能是分辭代替連接詞的形式, 不如(B)清楚

2.題目尾巴有一個對等連接詞but, 也是應該要平衡對稱吧!
所以若是選項(D)則就不平衡囉! removing...but do not denude...

不知這樣的思路是否有誤?

我的看法:

題目中有either... 後面找or... 沒有or==> 刪ACE
B, D 選一個...
D: removing, burning, 皆為分詞用法, 可以接受, 但是看到後面 "... burning down individual trees BUT do not denude the forest." BUT 和 AND, OR一樣, 為連接詞, 最好前後動詞平衡. burning和 do not denude不平衡. 看看B.

B: which removes 修飾logging, 很清楚; that burn 修飾surface fires, 也很清楚, 而且不會像分詞一樣造成ambiguity. 再看後面的 "... that burn down individual tress but do not denude the forest. BURN 和 do not denude 皆為現在簡單式, 平衡.

選B, B對了。
