嗯，樓上兩位說的好
我總結成這兩句
Declining values for farm equipment and land are going to force many lenders to tighten or deny credit this spring.

and

The collateral farmers borrow to get through the harvest season against declining values.

OG140就是這二句的簡化句，只是簡化的也太多了吧
還有，我也同意樓上二位所說(只能怪自己沒看懂解釋)，which 代 declining values
這可是268題之中，which跳躍修飾的代表作，跳得還真遠哩

這個討論串讓我越看越迷糊了
我對這個句子的理解是：
[農夫通常以土地與農機作為擔保品來借貸，以度過農忙季節
但是由於這類作為擔保品的資產價值下滑，將導致農民(lender)這個春季無法取 得融資]
可是前面歸結出的第二句，說的好像是擔保品(collateral)有against declineg value 作用，感覺很怪，還是我誤解了前人的意思?

我的第二個問題是against which的連用，which應該是against的受詞
放回原處應該是Farmers borrow against collsteral to get through the harvest season.
borrow against... 應該是慣用語，應該是指"以...做擔保品來借款"
不過現在手邊沒有字典可以證實
但在網路上可以查到這樣的用語:Why people borrow against their equity?
