我以為是書名, 機構名稱之類的專有名詞當主詞-->V 用單數

所以就選(B)

沒想到......

有人有好方法可以判斷嗎？

那麼，為什麼答案為E
are geared toward enhancing the performance......???

D大的意思是說be geared to後面要加N,若不是N,就錯
BC的用法都是 be geared to enhance(V.)所以直接砍

慣用語還有一個用法 be geared toward Ving
所以E are geared toward enhancing 符合此用法

字典COLLINS有介紹此用法
be V-ed to N ; be V-ed toward Ving
If someone or something is geared to or towards a particular purpose, they are organized or designed in order to achieve that purpose.
