用中文解釋，就是房子是半倒"或是"全倒，一定是其中一種，不可能半倒and 全島

我覺得其實也不難，就是記下這些慣用法吧

I thought what Mike wants to clarify is 修飾語誤置的問題, 正是不同副詞片語擺的位置不同便有不同的句意.....

last year 在此有兩個可疑的修飾對象
1.往前修飾earthquake 2. 向後修飾had been (但, 這是不可能,right ? )

所以 副詞在此句中沒有雙向修飾的問題

反觀 <E>

要說 last years 修飾 some of the buildings 單然說的通

但別忘了 時間副詞/地方副詞 放句首或句尾 , 有概括承受的味道在

醬的話 , 意思就也可以解釋為 ,房子的違建是發生在去年嚕 ^^
