Ans B 的解釋如下，看不出 fact 2 如何 contradicts fact 1。 @@@

但這無法解釋為什麼只記得 第一個 和最後一個阿?? 如果廣告時間縮短了
是否觀眾應該可以記得所有廣告 30秒播3支 那應該3支就都記得得剛剛播了什麼阿

所以必須要合理解釋為何 只記得 第一和最後一個廣告

其實這句話的意思我看不大懂。
那這句的意思是廣告的總時間減少，是因為廣告的數目減少的關係？
因為減少了平均播放的個數，所以總時間減少了？

我可以請問這一題，D和E的差異是在哪裡呢？
兩者是不是都在講average number of commercials 增加，
只是d多出了per hour的字眼！
為什麼d不對呢？謝謝^^

我試著回覆喔~ 如果有不對的還請各位前輩指正, 謝謝!

(D)的意思是, ㄧ個小時內進廣告的片段增加了, 例如說本來一個小時只進3次廣告, 現在一小時進了8次廣告
(E)的意思就如同樓上Micht大大寫的, 一次進廣告的片段, 播放的廣告數增加了. 例如本來1分鐘撥5個廣告, 現在增加為10個

為什麼(D)不對的原因是, 它並沒有幫助fact 2連結到fact 1. 可能還幫了倒忙, 因為廣告片段增加了, 人們如果記得一個廣告片段的第一和最後一支廣告, 那廣告片段增加, 人們搞不好記得更多廣告, 不符合fact 1所述.

(E)對的原因就如樓上各位前輩的討論囉~

如果把廣告數量當分母,會記得的廣告(first and last)當分子
選項D是說
number of cluster"s" of consecutive commercials(注意是複數)
也就是說分子分母同時增加(只增加好幾系列廣告,但同時first and last也增加),因此雖然廣告增加但記得的也同量增加,所以並沒有下降(weaken了fact1),所以錯
選項E是說:
average number in a cluster of commercials(注意是單數)
也就是說分母增加(在一系列中的廣告數增加),分子沒變(因為一系列的廣告first and last還是那幾個),結果能記得的廣告就相對減少囉
