答案好奇怪阿，看了很久都不懂…
依題意不是應該第2年的總數變少，才會有這樣的情形嗎？
C的答案” More book manuscripts were submitted for approval to the first censor than to the second.”如果翻成中文說是結論，真是古怪…想不通阿…不知那位大大幫我解惑一下..謝囉

我談談我的理解:
題目:在Y國書的發表必須經過censor審核才可發表,在第一個censor下,有1/2 submit的書的文稿是不允許發表的(也就是說有1/2是可以發表),在下一個censor下,只有1/4是不允許被發表(也就是有3/4是可以發表),(假若兩次中submit的手稿數量一樣多,應該第二次被准許發表的手稿數較多,因為3/4 > 1/2),但題目卻說,這兩次被准許發表的數量一樣多,可見第一次投稿數較多,才有可能在只被選中 1/2 的情形下,被允許發表的總數仍跟第二個censor相同,所以選C

以數學方式來解讀為:

1/2 * 第一次的送件數 = 3/4 * 第二次的送件數

因為1/2 < 3/4, 小*大=大*小
所以得結論第一次送件數大於第二次送件數(C)
