社區服務及社團經驗請大家給意見!! 拜託!!

關於社區服務跟社團, 我到現在的經驗都是大學跟我自己會計師組織的活動, 沒有社區的或義工的服務經驗. 我是想參加一些義工來零的突破, 可是又怕時間點跟申請時間靠的太近. 我看 MBA 的書上訪問學校admissions directors 他們有說看到義工經驗集中在申請前幾個月會打折扣, 請大家給點意見好嗎？　我到底應不應該從現在起作一些義工呢? (我想申請 Fall 2008, 希望遞第一輪）

I am in a similar situation too :( .. not sure whether starting volunteering now will actually help me or hurt me ..

Can someone please comment on this?

My comment may has little to do with MBA applications.

As a board memeber in a non-profit organization, I do not recommend people to do short-term volunteering services. It wastes your time and, most importantly, the limited resources of the NPO because seldom can you achieve a significant milestone in a short time. I would recommend that you find out a organization doing things or having visions which you are REALLY interested in. Otherwise, it is highly possible that you would get bored or tired easily.

投資報酬率太低了!
社區服務不是MBA最重視的! 他只是附加價值! 我幾個朋友上Top 15的都沒有這個經歷!
不如利用這些時間加強你的GMAT會比較實際!

GPA, GMAT, and work experience are all kind of done deals for me now, I am just trying to fine tune my whole package before getting to essays.
