申請同一個學校兩次

大家好
最近因為公司縮水 我就被砍了
因而興起想要去念MBA 的打算
可是現在開始準備 就算一切順利
大部分的學校也只趕的上Fall Term 的Final Deadline (在五月), 這樣子申請上的機率會大減 (因為他們都是採用連續招生的辦法)
想說如果沒有申請上秋天的 那我把申請文件再拿來申請Winter Term 的
這樣子他們會不會不高興而打折扣呢?

我在google 找了一陣子找不到滿意的答案所以上來這邊看看有沒有人知道..

你的問題可以分成兩個層面來回答：

第一：重複申請 Re-apply的注意事項：

基本上只要你是Re-apply, 幾乎都要多寫一題ESSAY，強調你跟過去一年的分別在哪裡。
很明顯的，就學校的立場，除非你這一年有明顯的進步，不論是在GMAT或是工作表現，要不然學校沒有理由在隔一年就接受你。
因此，如果你只是單純的重送文件，錄取的機會不大。

第二：春季班與秋季班：
相較於秋季班，MBA有春季班的很少，印象中前50有哥大，羅徹斯特，以及 Insead (?)
因此你可以選擇的機會相對小很多。

Although the world economy falls almost freely
it should not be your only reason to study anything
no matter what next step you're heading
there should be independent reasons and specific timing for that
and adcoms are looking for those reasons to evaluate whether you're ready for your advanced business study
MBA is only one piece of your career puzzle
while adcoms surely want to know whether applicants have clear self-awareness on their own career paths
especially why MBA and why now
the logic taught us that there should be no continuity for sequential applications
unless applicants can prove specific reasons for each timing

Your MBA application should be a dynamic progress
just as dynamic as your career ladder
if applicants really need to apply for consecutive terms
the detail reasons and criteria should be different from time to time
since your career is pushing forward
your application packages will be evaluated by your different career stages
i.e. you’ll be evaluate as a senior specialist if you have 4 years work experience,
but as a prospective manager if you have 5 years experience
and there’s always the biggest myth about the admission “probability”
even though the competition is fierce every year
there’s no such probability exists
every application is evaluated independently
only when the application meets the criteria can the admission granted
that means you’ll either get a “Yes” or a “No”
then when you get a Yes but too many other Yes like you are still waiting
then you’ll get in the waiting list

so based on this logic, if you get rejected by this term
the same package won’t be admitted by any other terms whatsoever
since if you get a No this time, it means your package doesn’t meet the criteria adcoms are looking for
then even there’s no other competition
your application still won’t get admitted

So to reapply, you not only need to improve your package to meet those criteria from last time,
you also need to advance yourself on the career stage for one additional year
since you should be growing on your career
no matter you’re applying MBA or not
