小弟我愧為亞洲版版主 當我死黨之一問我 " A~ 我summer intern想從美國飛去新加坡實習 有啥需求"時 我竟只回答的出 " 要公司發給你工作簽證....吧"

我這位好朋友目前就讀於美國某間有在榜上的老牌MBA 不想在美國intern 請問這邊各路朋友 要到新加坡有啥需求 需要準備啥 ?

You still need to go thru campus recruiting for the big MNCs.

Visa is not an issue. Challenge is finding the position.

Yup , but the career service center always want students to stay in the states. The reason is simple, once you get an intern in the state, it is more possible, compare with do your intern in other countries, for you to land a job in US. And once you can successfully land a job in US, your pay is higher, and the resut is-- the school gained "something" in its ranking.

BTW, he is not in the top 50s list ,though still in top70something. The school, per its position as a regional B school, is not good at providing position " outside" of the states.

Anyway, any suggestion? I know it's though.

Singapore has 2 types of pay: local pay and expat pay

If you can get work in a multinational, the pay is pretty good.
Also, Singapore's tax rate is also very low. On the first Sing$ 160,000 (NT 3,200,000), it's around 10%.

So on an after-tax basis, Singapore will probably come out ahead of the US.

*US career centers (regardless of school rank) are not very helpful when it comes to international placements

hi Mark: many mainland chinese just thinkthe same as you -- low tax rate and low accomodation fee in singapore. In fact, the reason I consider HK is quite similar.
