MIT Sloan MBA deadline is postponed?

The deadline for submitting the MIT Sloan MBA application for the class entering in Fall 2007 is Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Due to the disruption in Internet service in Asia Pacific, some candidates in the affected areas may experience difficulties in submitting their applications. The MIT Sloan School of Management will accept and consider as on time any application submitted up to 5:00 p.m. (Boston time) Friday, January 26, 2007, from candidates in Asia Pacific affected by the disruption.

Yes.

In addition to MIT, Chicago, Michigan, Virginia, Oxford have postponed deadlines.

Some need to be requested in writing.

直接寫信給學校說明地震的影響
然後詢問學校可否延期吧
這樣是最直接又有效的方法囉

如果真的想在遞延後的deadline做apply,用打電話去問的吧 !
我之前有寫信去問,
回覆的內容,大意是,

這位小兄弟,我們的確給受地震影響的申請人延後的deadline,
不過看起來你可以email給我們,　internet應該不受影響吧!
快繳錢,apply, 誠信對我們來說是很重要滴.....

Dear Avery,

Thank you for your email. It is true that we have granted a “grace period” for applicants in Taiwan who do not have internet access available to them. Since you are emailing me I would imagine that you do have some form of internet access. If you do have internet available to you then you do need to submit your application by January 10, 2007.

If you do not have internet access then the deadline is January 26th, 2007. We do request that people are honest and only those with internet hardship submit their application at the later date. Integrity is something that MIT Sloan values.
