Hello,
今天收到被waived的通知, 我是part1當天交的, 大家情況如何?

另外 kellogg alumni, 請問這樣情況 是不是說跟那些有拿到interview的在相對劣勢阿? 建議採取proactive態度跟adcom聯繫嗎?

請各位拿到Kellogg Interview Waiver 的人千萬不要緊張，這是Kellogg的正常程序，很多錄取的台灣學生（包括我自己），都是先拿到Waiver，在經過電話面試而被錄取的

如果你選擇的是off-campus interview，一般來說的程序是：
- Application submitted (my experience: Part 1 in Nov, Part 2 in Jan)
- Adcom看到你的Part-1 application, 並且通知你Waiver (get waiver in late-Jan)
- Adcom看到你的Part-2 application, 通知你電話面試 (get invitation in early Feb)

Kellogg希望可以面試所有的申請者，然而在資源有限的情況下，大約只有95%的人會拿到面試 (yes, I mean 95% of ALL the applicants)

根據"可靠消息"指出, Kellogg Alumni 必須間隔六個禮拜，才能面試下一位申請者。考慮在台灣的校友人數有限，因此絕大部分在台灣做off-campus interview的人，都會先收到waive並且拿到電話面試。所以，請各位耐心等候吧！

我應該屬於R2的pool
(因為原本是R1申請, 但後來把on campus interview改成off campus interview)
大約是在三月初左右接到學校的電話interview邀請
所以需要點小耐心囉!

不過 你們覺得是不是需要be proactive一點, 寄個郵件問一下adcom呢? or it will eventually turn out to be negative?!

I received an email informing me that my interview was waived. What does this mean, and am I at a disadvantage?
Interview waivers, which are sometimes granted when regional demand is heavy, have no bearing on admission decisions. If we feel an interview would be helpful in further assessing a candidate or would aid in rendering a decision, we will contact the applicant to schedule a telephone interview. Applicants may not request a telephone interview; we will invite waived candidates for telephone interviews throughout each application round. Many of our admitted students initially received an interview waiver and were subsequently contacted for a telephone interview.
