請問今年有人申請到UC-Berkeley 嗎?

好像今年有關UC-Berkeley 的消息並不多...不知道是否今年還是有高手被錄取.
小妹不材.想申請明年2007年的UCB.想看看本站有沒有人可以分享一下申請背景.
希望有人可以幫忙發表一下.....感恩啊...

hi stella,

i'm accepted by berkeley with scholarship in round 1 this year. not sure how i can help you as my profile is probably somewhere between mba and emba - 3.7 undergraduate gpa from ntu, 750 in gmat/273 in toefl, and 10 yr experience with last 8 years in ib/pe/vc in tw/hk/us. i'm currently a founding member and principal at a vc firm covering us-greater china.

background is not everything for b-school and you should be pretty fine once you fall into the 80% range in gmat/gpa/toefl. quality of experience matters more than quantity, and the key is really your story. i'm serious. a friend of mine got in mit sloan with a 590 gmat, 1 year experience, and a GREAT STORY.

get prepared to answer why berkeley and why you. application is a matching process. how you can contribute to the program matters no less than what berkeley has to offer. you get into any school not only because you're good enough but also because you fit in well, especially when it's competitive like this year.

(正確來說...分數太低也申請不到啦..)

目前我只有將目標放在州立大學
不過看了你寫的內容

hi denya,

don't underestimate yourself.

i'm not a super sales able to sell any products to anyone. don't think i can contribute that much to columbia/chicago and they don't really offer what i want. i think they would reject me if i were to apply. i can't pretend to be someone else so as to please the adcom, but some other people are good at that (not a bad thing though).

b-school application is somehow really like a romance. you don't win a boy/girl's heart not just because you're good enough, right? that's why we call the ideal one mr. or ms, RIGHT but not ms. or ms. BEST. you don't have to lie to school, but you want to MAXIMIZE your attributes that adcom appreciates and EMPHASIZE how the particular school makes perfect sense to you. eveyone fits into a school in his/her own way, and you need to develop unique chemistry between you and adcom.

berkeley is a nice school. but the RIGHT school differs for everyone. also, mba, while opening up new opportunities, doesn't promise anything or win you respect. sogo won't give you discount because you're a harvard mba. if you have great answers to why mba and why school xyz, stats shouldn't stop (assuming they're not way too wild) you from applying.
