Dear GSB current students and alumni,

I was devastated to learned about my WL decision in R2 because I really consider GSB as my first choice school. Even though very much crushed for couple days, I am now back on my feet and ready to do something about my WL-hell situation. I am wondering if anyone here would be so kind to help me identify couple alumni in Taipei who might be willing to meet with me for a brief interview?

Also, if anyone has suggestions or experience on the GSB WL situation, I'd be glad to hear them all.

I'd suggest you to take the following actions:

1. Get feedback from Admission office and understand what went wrong.

2. Get GSB alumni or your supervisor to write another recommendation letter to address the points mentioned in the feedback

2. Send GSB some additional information based on the feedback.

Other than that, I think there is nothing you can do for now. Or, you may think about re-apply if you still have time and energy.

WL is painful, and I strongly recommend you to get yourself a reasonable backup plan.

i've tried to contact the person in charge of the WL (Karen Watt). It doesn't seem like the school is willing to give feedback regarding individual application, at least officially. any other way i might get around this?

I'm sorry to mislead you.
if it's a official policy, then I think there is no way u can get feedback.

Probably just wait and look foward to the good news.

Hello slac200212,

If possible, try to contact your interviewer to see whether you can get more specific feedbacks.
Since he/she has talked to you, he/she should be in the better position to assist you.

Unless you have worked with GSB alum or current students or know them in person,
Frankly speaking, there is little they can do for you.

In addition, if you received the offer from other top schools, don't hesitate to tell the school. It's a good opportunity to communicate with the adcom and improve your candicacy.
