Hope to see you next fall, Michael.
I guess I can talk about my interview as well. I interviewed with a guy at Merrill Lynch, next to the WTC in New York.
-Tell me about yourself (Things that are not on your resume)
-Why MBA, why now?
-Why Columbia and not Wharton or Chicago? (I learned that Columbia and UPenn has a rivalry going on)
-Where else have you applied to?
-What do you do for fun?
-Questions about long term goal and what I think of China business environment (I wrote about making my entry into China down the road)
The interview lasted 40 minutes but felt like 10. It was very conversational with occasional jokes and laughters. I didn't really like Columbia at first, to be honest, because the facility isn't as good compare to other top schools. Yet, after you speak to a couple of students and alumni, you will realize that this is a special place. Everyone is very bright and very efficient. Although people work in high places, they are still very personable and "smooth."
Didn't mean to hi-jack Michael's thread, but I am inclined to share my Columbia visit with somebody =)
