小弟目前對於出發UMD有下列幾個問題,
(1) 飛機航班: 我知道的路線是飛到NY再轉到Baltimore! 請問這是最常見抵達UMD的方式嗎? 另外, 我暫訂7月中或底要啟程的話, 是否現在就需訂機票了啊?

我在念Johns Hopkins part-time的公共衛生...跟你分享一下我之前去的方式..

你可以先飛到紐約,再從NY飛到BWI 機場或華盛頓DC的雷根機場,在利用機場的shuttle bus服務. 從紐約飛到BWI或雷根機場大約1小時, 之後shuttle 則看你要去的地方而定...如果是到Johns Hopkins Hospital的話車程大約是40分鐘

如果嫌機票太貴,飛到紐約後可以搭火車,紐約甘乃迪機場有連結火車的捷運,從機場到紐約火車站Penn Station坐捷運大約40分鐘, 從紐約的penn staion到Baltimore的Penn station坐火車大約4小時(剛好都叫Penn Station)

網路上都可以訂美國的飛機票(www.expedia.com) or火車票(www.amtrak.com)

我6/8也是要去JHU參加Orientation, 今天才剛訂好機票...
這次是坐長榮先飛西雅圖再飛BWI,很多家航空公司也是只剩候補的...飛機票還是早點訂的好, 建議你先上到EzTravel等網站查察看時間這樣心裡比較有底

飛過去的方式很多(可以先飛舊金山, 洛杉磯...等等) ,票價也都不同,你可以多排列組合試試看...看怎樣最能符合你的時間與金錢需求

另外, 轉機如果是自己安排的, 轉機緩衝時間最好大於2小時
我之前打算由Baltimore經NY飛TW時,飛NY的飛機竟然誤點3小時,如果真的搭這班,收假前就回不了台灣了,還好後來他們給了我一張免費的Taxi票,讓我直接搭去雷根機場,再飛NY...最後成功趕上

提早到機場跟安排寬裕的轉機時間還是很重要的,希望我的經驗對你會有幫助

Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Jeremy Chiu. I am a soon-to-be 2nd year MBA student at the U. of Maryland.

There are 3 airports in this area: Ronald Raegan National (DC), BWI(Baltimore, MD), and IAD(Northern Virginia). There are different publica transportations that can take you to College Park area. My suggestion is to book your ticket as soon as possible. I don't know how much you can save by surfing different website. To save troubles, I'd just go to travel agency and have them take care of everything for me.

As far as for looking to rent, looking to buy, or looking for answers to any questions that you may have, please visit http://groups.msn.com/UMDTSA2002 this is the TSA's (Taiwanese Student Association at U. of Maryland) website. There are a lot of selling and renting going on. I am sure you'll find this website very useful.
