Congratulations!
Sorry that I missed the whole discussion here...
I am a current MBA student in Ross and I just want to mention several points here:
1. Feel free to attend the GBR and you will discover more about the lovely and diversifies Ross community. And Michigan has an extremely strong Alumni network. (Don't laugh at me, I met Michigan alumni all over the States...)
2. I don't have a car and I never have any issue going out for grocery shopping, team meeting or social activities at nights or in the weekends.
3. Michigan is in the mid-west so people here are very collaborative and down-to-earth. Team spirit is heavily addressed and people enjoy helping each other in life or at work.
4. Although Ann Arbor is a college town, I can give you a long list of good Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese or Thai restaurants.

5. Michigan is the top business school, so whatever company you can think of come to Ross for recruiting. If you don't like I-banking, Ross is strong in Consulting, General Management, Marketing, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain...
One more comment: I happened to chat with a friend who also got offer from UCLA 2 years ago. She is from San Jose and she told me that UCLA is more regional- most of the students are from California area. In contrast, Ross has people from all over the world and we all live close to school so that's the main reason why she chose Ross in the end- she likes to have more time mingling with friends.
In short, Ross and UCLA are both great school but the culture is a bit different. As a Ross student, of course I'd like to have you with us. So please feel free to contact me when you are free. (I think you have my email

All the best and congrats again!
