關於Columbia的GPA計算方式想請教大家意見

若有現在的學生希望能分享第一手的看法
原先我看到哥大的規定
If your undergraduate institution provides you with a cumulative grade-point average on the 4.0 scale, enter your grade-point average.

If your school does not use the 4.0 scale as shown in column 1 of the grading system conversion table on this page, you need
to convert your grading system to that scale. Use the chart to calculate your grade-point average for each school you attended.

因為我學校對應表沒有直接對應到4.0，而是對應到80-100=A
所以照哥大的換算表GPA超低
但是我剛剛看到Transcript Request Form
有這麼一段給我的學校人員填寫的
Please explain grade point system if other than A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc

像他這樣寫，不就是說A=4.0(依次類推)嗎?
除非不是A=4.0(依次類推)，不然就是可以用A=4.0囉?
我們學校並沒有說A對應到4.0或5.0是如何對應的，而是看所申請學校的規定，這樣的情況算符合他的條件嗎?
若符合，我就可以用80-100=A 然後A=4.0去算了
