麻煩各位高手幫幫忙,我到底要怎麼做?

前幾天收到學校graduate school 寄來的文件(包含I-20),信中有一段要我聯絡CIE,我看完之後,卻不能完全了解我要做什麼,為什麼要先聯絡CIE?等等.麻煩大家幫忙一下,不懂為什麼要這樣做?

Your first point of contact should be the Center for International Education(CIE).Immigration regulations require you to report to the Center for International Education within 15 days of arriving in the United States. If you have not already done so,I strongly suggest that you open an email account with either Hotmail or Yahoo and contact CIE directly by email. Their email address is international.exchange@unco.edu.

這應該是各校政策吧。

他要你在到美國的十五天內向你們學校的CIE這個單位報到。

不外乎就是填寫一些資料，建檔之類的。

911之後學校要加強對國際學生的管理
一般規定大學生每學期要拿滿12學分 碩士生9學分 一但低於會被警告 警告不聽 就可能會直接被趕出去啦 (限制一定的時間內離境)

CIE就是學校裡負責管理的單位
