UT McCombs School of Business MBA 2009 - Taking Questions

你好~我也是今年要去McCombs MBA的學生~

不過我等結果等了比較久
我大概1/24送出申請, 2/18收到interview invitation, 2/22 alumni interview, 4/7才收到email通知錄取(還是我打電話去催的...)
學校是說今年申請者比較多~所以有點耽誤到

雖然說UTA 是rolling basis~但原本學校計畫是4/01就應該都有結果了(2/1 deadline那輪的)
不過基本上這幾天應該就都會陸續通知了
你可以每天check你的status
我收到錄取email notice的隔天status就變了(雖然錄取信說要7-10個工作天才會變)~供你參考~

還有申請這邊~~大概需要多少的GMAT & Toefl??

My Background

GMAT: 710/5.5
TOEFL: 107
W/E: 3yrs mainly in logistics & supply chain
Under: NTHU ECON (GPA:3.5/ Last 60 GPA: 3.96)

According to my interviewer (local alumni), my GMAT score & length of W/E are both below average. (compared to those of other candidates he has interviewed this year and last year). Therefore, you may expect other admits for McCombs this year probably have more outstanding GMAT scores and longer working experiences than me.

+6 yr work experience in service/operation management.

As I heard from my interviewer, already three Taiwanese got admission, but I haven't met them on the school blog yet.

It's hard to answer how much you need to get in UT.
The average GMAT score is 673. However, the higher the better.
Particularly, I found many admits this year are from India, and they usually got extremely high scores.

Wow, seems that my chance is pretty slim here. I really do hope to become the 5th or 6th one, especially considering the fact that I actually went there to get the interview!

Nevertheless, this application (and the trip itself) has been fun. No matter the outcome, I will share what I learned during school visit if you are interested.

Under: NCCU Accounting (GPA 3.69/4)

No, those three are earlier applicants. I got the info. from my interviewer, but don't know if they will study in Texas Austin.
