Should I take the GMAT exam at all???

After weeks of preparation for GMAT, I thought everything is in order and I am ready for the G day.

I did some simulation tests (pp3, Kaplan, Princeton Review) prior to readying the OG and math scores are pretty consistence- it’s about 40.

Now one month later, after all the hard work, I started doing the math questions on the GWD sets and what happened next scares me.
I have done the 5 sets of GWD math (1-5) and on average I got 10 – 12 questions wrong.

I know math is my weakest link (not that my English is better or anything) but 10-12 wrong answers per test is just way too much.
I am wondering how the difficulty level compares between the real GMAT and GWD. Does any body know?

My G day is due in 3 weeks time and I am having cold feet now.
Although I only looking for a 45 in quantitative, but now it looks like I won’t even get a 35.

If all the questions included in the GWD are the real ETS questions, I am screwed, aren’t I?

So, focus on GWD and JJ.

I am hoping that the math will be easier here in London (I heard someone mentioned it on other gmat forum that the math question in Asia is much harder than in the US or Europe for the obvious reason). Otherwise it's good bye gmat..

seriously, my verbal is "mamahuhu", very "mamahuhu". All I can do is "la sai", so I am not hoping too much. A 600+ will be good enough for me, as I am only looking for applying to the UK's MBA courses, and the GMAT isnt weight as much as in the USA. But now, it looks as if I will have a hard time to get a 600.

Anyway, I think all I can do is give it my best shot and praying for the best. In the mean time I will finish the rest of the GWD (and get depressed).

from my experience, if you can fix all the math questions in GWD and JJ, you will probably pass the math section with a flying color. Even getting the full point.
take me for example, I am math idoit. I think my math is even worse than anyone else. But I still can get full point in gmat . I firmly believe that you can do the same,too.

Really??? Duke, that's very encouraging.
The problem is, the GWD math is totally over my limits. If the real test, as “calvin” said, is more difficult than the GWD,
I will have no hoping hell to finish the math section on time and pass the 40 marks.
So, how did you manage to combat your math then???
I am planning to “memorise” some of the jj questions and answer. Will this help?
How do you compare the two between the GWD qs and that of the ETS??

I think you should'nt memorize those questions by rote.
some of questions may seem to be exactly the same, but, in fact, they are not.
Ets will change questions to some extend and make up some traps.
I suppose!
So be aware, remeber those questions are basically out of the same root.
even the number or some conditions may be different, the pricipal is still the same. try to find out each possible trap behind the questions, and you will be fine.

what is wrong with me? I have been studying math for 6 weeks now and I am going no where. My G day is due next monday, my math is still crap and I still have all the verbal to study................
