[問題]我被and的用法困住了請大家教我一下

以下是幾題讓我說困惑的問題 請大家幫我看看

(1) The theory of natural selection is used to explanin which animals of a species will die prematurely and (which survives.)

---->要改成wich will survive

(2) The male cicada sound is made by specialized structures on the abdomen and (which apparently) serves to attract females.

----->要把which去掉只剩apparently

(3) Ducks have been tamed for many centuries ---commercially
for their meat, eggs, and feathers.
(A) bred
(B) and are bred
(C) bred as
(D) are bred

---->答案是B

我想問的是 用and連接時如果主詞是一樣的話不是直接看作平行結構嘛
就變成 S V and V 就像第二題跟第三題這樣, 那第一題的which為何不能省略改成 will survive. 如果我主詞是相同的但是在and後面的主詞一定要省略嘛?

(4) The many different kinds of storms occur ---- there are differences in temperature, pressure, and humidity in the atmosphere.

(A) and
(B) but
(C) however
(D) wherever

---->答案是D

這題老方上課是說A跟B錯是因為前面沒有"," 是否我用and .but . or.so
這一類連接詞連接兩個不同主詞子句時一定要用逗號呢?
我線再有點搞混了到底哪時要有逗號哪時又不用耶
因為賴水信那本文法書22章的330頁跟332頁也是一個有用逗號一個沒有用
可以請大家教我嘛 我知道問這些問題很笨 但是還是想搞清楚 先謝謝喔

上面這個部份, 我想是因為第一題的and是連結explain 後面接的兩個which 引導的名詞子句吧 　所以Which 才不能省略
--> S V +N1 and N2
