算是補充Rodents dwell in various habitat這一句話的片語(還是.....不太知道專有名詞 總之是一個補充語就是了)

原句完整表達是(但比較囉唆，美國人不喜歡這樣) Rodents dwell in various habitat. Some species of them are aquatic, and some species of them are terrestrial.

先改後一句(重複的字省略)：Rodents dwell in various habitat. Some species of them are aquatic, some terrestrial. (be 動詞省掉了，and 也要去掉，否則不平衡)

再連接兩句子，就變成：Rodents dwell in various habitat, some species being aquatic, some terrestrial. (Some species 當然指的是Rodents，of them 就可省略不說了；are 前面沒有and，無法連接dwell 和 are 這兩個動詞，所以將 are 改成分詞)


可能有人會問，為何不直接去掉 are，反而要改成 being。原因是文法上不清楚。因為去掉的東西一般是前面出現過的，但前面的動詞是dwell 而非 are。
