2. 所以後面就會接 Did your power go out? <--你們家的電斷掉了嗎?
然後 Go off <---前面的主詞是alarm 所以就翻譯為"響起"嚕

但我覺得 we had 強調的是「這個暴風雨對我們有影響」，而不是某個地點、某個角落不相干的 storm。we had 修飾前面的storm。

背景說明：美國人很多都用插電式的鬧鐘(alarm clock, 簡稱 alarm )，所以如果停電，alarm 自然就不會響了。
