A thorough investigation into the difficulties experienced by some test
takers during TOEFL iBT testing on August 25th, has determined that the
cause was due to a hardware malfunction at an Internet service provider
external to ETS. The issue has been resolved and processes have been put into
place to ensure it does not happen again. Prometric is continuing to contact
test takers to reschedule their testing appointments. We apologize for
the inconvenience experienced by our test takers as well as our test
centers.
