Without knowing of what you are capable, it is really hard to make suggestions. Let’s assume nothing is an object. You could go to NYU or U Penn and major in finance. Depending on what types of financial industries you would prefer, you could get related licenses before you graduate from college. Some licenses might require you to have work experience, but that won’t be an issue after a couple years. After graduated from NYU, you are a hot shot in the Wall Street. Your salary range might go from as low as $20,000 to over $100,000. Some jobs pay very little. Based on your performance, your gross income might get over $100,000 easily. Three or five years down to the road, you might be making over $300,000 a year. Will you still want to get an MBA degree? Do you want to forgo possibly 1 million bucks and go to school for two years? You could decide then. How much could Taiwanese students make a year after their degrees? They would be thankful to make over $150,000 after their degrees. However, in your case, coming to the US and picking a finance major at NYU or U Penn will have given you opportunities to make over $100,000 in your first year right after college. You are smart to do personal planning now, and this proves that you could be a hell of financial advisor. Since you are still in Taiwan, what you have to do now is to get a perfect SAT score and try to get in top finance programs such as NYU or U Penn. Your future is half set by planning smart. Way to go kid.
