According to 2005 Schweser Study notes, Book2 P.15 (Level 2)
(total GDP growth)=(per capita GDP growth)+(population growth)

(per capita GDP growth)=(capital share x growth in capital-to-labor ratio)+(growth of total factor productivity)

請教一下上述兩個等式,我怎麼導都不覺得兩邊相等。最後帶數字進去,還是不相等啊,請問一下問題出在哪裡?

以第一式為例,假設
year 1 ; year2
GDP 10 ; 30
population 5 ; 10
GDP per capita 10/5=2 ; 30/10=3
(表格要怎麼打才清楚啊,傷腦筋?)

(30-10)/10 =/= (3-2)/2 + (10-5)/5

第一式是簡化後的約略值
(total GDP growth)=(per capita GDP growth)+(population growth)

原本應該會是
(total GDP growth)
=[1+(per capita GDP growth)]*[1+(population growth)] -1
=1 +(per capita GDP growth)+(population growth)+(per capita GDP growth)*(population growth)-1
=(per capita GDP growth)+(population growth)+(per capita GDP growth)*(population growth)
一般GDP成長率通常是百分之個位數的成長,紅色部分相乘後通常都不大,所以可以忽略不計,才會得出第一式

但是你的例題是呈倍數成長的,
所以兩兩相乘的數字不能忽略不計,不然就會差很多

按照比較精確的計算法:
(30-10)/10 =2= [1+ (3-2)/2] * [1+ (10-5)/5]-1

謝謝JAMES,原來第一式是省略過後的簡式,書上幹嘛不寫清楚說....
至於第二式,我用腦袋想像可以理解其中的意涵,可是用手就又算不出來了
書上是說第一式兩邊同時減去population growth
又Total GDP growth=(labor share*labor input growth)+(capital share*capital input growth)+(growth of total factor productivity)
請問一下是不是也有甚麼小技巧?

會說同時檢去population growth應該是因為
per capita是 GDP/ population
除式簡化(也可以說是一階微分吧)就變成減
Total GDP growth=(labor share*labor input growth)+(capital share*capital input growth)+(growth of total factor productivity)

是用要素(labor, capital), factor=要素
所以才寫成這樣的吧
L:Labor, K:capital
Labor growth:L%, Capital growth:K%
growth of Total factor productivity: T%
total factor= L+K
labor share應該是L/(L+K), capital share 應該是K/(L+K)

原式一樣可以變成(我是反推的)
[1+ L/(L+K)* L%]*[1+K/(L+K)*K%]*[1+T%]-1

現在在唸Level 2 挫折感頂大的
跟Level 1相比,可能得花比較多得時間,偏偏被申請學校的事搞得心情七上八下的
唉....不該在這裡抱怨的說....
