How does investment management work in Taiwan?

Hi guys,

Since no one answered my last question, I thought I would ask the question using a more simiplier approach. A lot of people talk about CFA on this forum, but what are the actual practices like in Taiwan?

How is equity research conducted in Taiwan? Do they use the same approach they described in CFA curriculum? Does it involve:
-Filter stocks down using criteria such as cap size, various multiples...etc
-Quantitative reseraches like building financial models to forecast future earnings, cash flows...etc.
-Qualitative researches such as participate industry conferences, company visits, interactions with upper managements.

Anyone familiar with the industry or within the industry, can someone explain? Thanks.
