it's impossible to apply for JSD directly. You don't even know how the US legal system works, and you have no clue as to how to write an acceptable law review, how to do research (you may even have difficulties in daily communication with the professors). From the perspective of US law schools, why would they waste their precious time and resources to teach you from the very beginning? That's obvious.
