The Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) is a one hundred twenty five (125) minute, sixty (60) question, multiple-choice examination designed to measure the knowledge and understanding of established standards related to a lawyer's professional conduct. It is developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.

It is a prerequisite or corequisite to the bar examination for admission as an attorney at law in 47 of the 50 states of the United States, as well as the District of Columbia, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Of the 55 jurisdictions within the United States, only Maryland, Puerto Rico, Washington, and Wisconsin do not use the MPRE; however, these jurisdictions still incorporate local ethics rules in their respective bar examinations. Connecticut and New Jersey waive the MPRE requirement for bar candidates who have earned a grade of "C" or better in a law school course in professional ethics.

依時間，應是考今年底 11/3 那一次，萬一"貢辜" 明年的三月或八月再考一次
只能說....及早準備囉!

PS 據說只要準備一個星期就可以去考了! 不知真假~ 又聽說台灣學生及格率也不是很高! 真是滴~

My school recommends LLMs to take the MPRE in March, since in November you are probably still trying to get used to the style of US Law schools. However I do know people took it in Nov while most of us did follow the recommendation and took it in Mar.

Just got the report and passed all State's requirements. I studied for only 2 nights (but this is a bad example and I don't suggest you to do the same), so it's not that difficult. No need to worry about it too much. One week prep should be more than enough. The tip for the preparation is to do more practice exams.

Both statements are true. If you have taken Professional Responsibilities before, reviewing for MPRE should not be difficult. In Taiwanese law schools, professional ethics is not offered as a prerequisite or elective courses so Taiwanese LLM students basically have no prior idea about it. And most Taiwanese LLM students usually will not take a course in Professional Responsibility with JD students, it is no surprise that they don't generally do well.

一次考過幾乎都不是問題
Bar比較難拉
而且MPRE是看所有應考人的成績,比較出來的成績
真的不難考
一個星期準備是有點拼
兩週可能比較保險
