INSEAD information session and Master Class at Feb 27 night

INSEAD will have the information session at Feb 27. This event will be held at McKinsey Taipei office located at 47F, 101 tower.

If you do not have idea about non-US Business School, this information session will bring you different view. We will also invite Professor Turner to conduct a case discussion to let you know the real interaction. Here is the schedule of the day.

- 710pm – 8pm: INSEAD MBA Presentation

- 8pm-9pm: Professor Patrick Turner’s Masterclass

- 9-930pm: Networking cocktails with Alumni

Hi, Derek,

Thank you for your sharing. For my understanding, since INSEAD is one-year program, many students are sponsored by consulting firms for the study. Could you give us more information on all those Taiwanese students, how many are actually sponsored by consulting firms already?

I think merely knowing how many Taiwanese students getting into those top consulting firms is no a accurate reflections on how well the recruiting is for them. Unless most of them were not sponsored by firms.

For the latest graduate Taiwaness students (2007 December), only 1 person is sponsered. Others are not.

In recently 8 years, only 2 Taiwanese Alumni were sponsered. Both were from McKinsey.

商務正裝要求外套和西褲或者外套和裙子是同樣顏色同樣質地的，也就是我們通常所說的套裝

2.商務休閒Business casual
長袖襯衫+西裝外套+西褲/卡其褲+皮鞋（男）
長袖襯衫+西裝外套+西褲/卡其褲/裙子+皮鞋（女）
一條的連衣裙+西裝外套+皮鞋（女）
商務休閒與商務正裝的區別在於西裝外套和褲子可以是不同顏色不同面料的，而且男士可以不帶領帶

3.時尚休閒Smart casual
有領的T恤衫/長袖襯衫+卡其褲+皮鞋（男）
長袖襯衫/七分袖襯衫+卡其褲+皮鞋（女）
Smart casual就是我們通常所說的大公司在casual Friday時的著裝要求。大家牢記，casual並不是代表什麼都可以穿，牛仔褲、運動裝、運動鞋是絕對不可以穿。
一般來說商務著裝的要求是有領長袖，如果女生穿套裝的話，也可以勉強考慮在外套裡面穿一字領。我個人認為，面試的第一輪，穿商務休閒就夠了，太正式也沒必要。如果面到最後階段，見經理了，那麼就可以選擇穿商務正裝。

還有一些tips給大家：

1.襯衫的選擇
男生千萬不要穿短袖襯衫，這是最不正式的
女生在夏天的時候可以穿七分袖的襯衫，襯衫的顏色，可以選擇白色的、淡粉色的、淡藍色、米白色的等等。切忌穿黑色的、深藍的。

2.男生領帶的選擇
一般的一色的、斜條紋的都可以，圓點的最近也比較流行，但千萬不要選黑色的，因為在西方，只有參加葬禮才會戴黑色的領帶

3.外套顏色的選擇
一般深一點的會更正式一點，也更有power一些，男女都一樣。但是最好也不要太深，怎麼說呢，有些人認為，職位越高可以穿得越深，所以如果你比上司穿得顏色深就不太好了
我個人覺得碳灰色是比較不錯的選擇。男女都避免選擇咖啡色，因為黃種人的膚色的原因，咖啡色會顯得東方人更暗更黃。女生外套最好不要選擇白色，很容易弄髒

4.女生的皮鞋和襪子
建議女生，如果是穿深色的褲子（裙子）和鞋子，最好穿黑色的絲襪而不是肉色的絲襪，這樣會更專業。另外，最好在面試前註意一下你的絲襪。如果不小心勾破了還穿著的話很難看的。當然如果真的不小心勾破了，應急的辦法就是脫下來不要穿，然後用一點護手霜或者護膚的乳液抹在腿上，這樣看起來比較自然，腿上的皮膚也不會顯得太乾

5.女生的鞋子
盡量不要穿涼鞋，如果穿的話也最好穿有鞋頭的，不要把腳趾露在外面。可能的話，跟不要太高，否則一路走在沒有地毯辦公室裡，聲音會比較不好聽:)

6.男生的話最好帶一個黑色的公文包，不要把手機啦錢包啦都放在褲袋裡，鼓起來不好看咯；女生的包包也不要挑得太小，至少應該能夠放得下A4的簡歷

7.女生去面試，化淡妝就可以了，首飾的話也不要戴得太誇張:)
