上學前先修課程?

Hi all,

I majored in Engineering for my undergrad and had never taken a course in finance nor economics. I have a few months before going to b-school. can you suggest which class/tuition center I should attend to improve my knowledge in these areas? Is there a way to match (at least the book used) the course from the b-school? (my mba of choice is at INSEAD).

Since you are a beginner, just pick up any micro & macro economics textbook.

The important thing is to start reading Wall Street Journal & Financial Times. The hard part about Economics & Finance is knowing what knowledge to apply.

Half of the people on this board probably have passed or are sitting for the CFA exam. But no more than a handful of people have any insights about the econonmy or finance.

Read is my advice.

I was in the same shoes~ had no prior knowledge in business area.
All I did was... borrow a micro textbook from the library, and start reading.
u don't need to know all the detail, just get a general idea.

Will be great if you can just scan thru those financial newspaper everyweek.
and lookup wiki for any terminology u don't understand

really don't think u need to pay any extra money for tutorial school...
i mean.. what's the point... u come to b-school cuz u don't understand...
if u already knew everything, u don't need to come
