C的完成是我覺得是在那個date之前已經開始有在make stone tool...

A選項的it應該不是當代名詞用,似乎應該是後面that子句的虛主詞 ? 所以A的問題是否不是出在代名詞指涉上, 而是時態問題 ? 但是我又覺得應該使用現在完成式的動詞應該是know, 而不是make, 因為make若使用現在完成式, 不就代表人類製造石器這件事一直持續到現在了嗎?
能不能拜託大家指點迷津 !!! 感激不盡 !!

這題就算把虛主詞反回來　變成 "when humans are known that made 也怪
因為這題句義在於說明　那時候人們"已經" 做好了石頭工具
單用made真的很awkward....　　常讀英文文章的人應該會感受到那種awkward的感覺

C選項的have made正確 at which 又用的好　　然後又不用虛主詞(有短的實主詞能用　就別用長的虛主詞　　造成不簡潔)

這個句子似乎有些問題.
1. 脫節: pushing 的主詞是 flakes... and cores; ETS 做了修正,把主詞改成 scientists.
2. 時態: at which = when 不用進行式,用過去式就可以了.
3. ETS 大概也覺得原句 known 用得不好,把它放到後面去: the known date = the date it is known
答案呼之欲出,應該選 (A) .原句沒有推測動詞的用法, ETS 拿來攪局的吧!

(C) 裡推測動詞以被動句意呈現,應該是不合理的,推測動作的主詞,應該是 scientists, 不是 humans (i.e. 那些原始人)
